  • Tugo allows you to see public charge points and private (residential) charge points available to use via integrations with Zapmap and Co Charger. With over 120,000 charge points available in the app, Tugo is the most comprehensive in the UK.  

  • Tugo is currently only available on iOS devices. You can either click the download button on the homepage or search “Tugo Travel” in the App Store.

  • Yes! The Tugo app is free to download, and you only pay the cost of the electricity you use and the standard provider fee.

  • Currently, Tugo covers the UK only.

  • We’re working to bring Tugo to Android users as soon as possible. To be the first to find out when it’s available, join the waiting list via the homepage.

  • Tugo aggregates the majority of major charging networks into one map. Currently, there are over 125,000 EV charging points on our map – 120,000 public charge points (via ZapMap) and 6,000 private charge points (via Co Charger).

  • Yes, where supported by the network.

  • Public EV chargers are publicly accessible, for example on public roads, in car parks, and at service stations. Private EV chargers are located at residential homes or workplaces and are only accessible to the owner or approved users. Public EV chargers are generally faster, and more expensive per kWh, private EV chargers are typically cheaper but may be slower to charge your vehicle.

  • Yes, you can pay for charging at over 75% of public charge points using Tugo by entering the charger location ID (which is shown on the charger) and starting the charge via Tugo. If payment via Tugo is not supported this will be shown to you in the app and you can pay via the operator’s system.

    For private (residential) charge points, you will need to pay via the Co Charger app. Tugo enables you to see the location of private charge points, charger type, and the cost so that you can make the best choice for your needs.

  • Yes, Tugo enables you to see all the chargers along your route and at your destination. You can filter by charger type (public or private) and kW and see costs upfront so that you can plan the optimal charging stops for your needs.

  • Tugo is purpose-built for EV drivers combining navigation with live EV charging availability and parking locations, so you don’t need multiple apps.

  • Yes, Tugo uses real-time traffic data to optimise your route.

  • Yes, you can plan routes including charging stops and parking in Tugo whenever you want and save them as favourites.

  • You can securely add your card details to Tugo (in the My Profile section), or you can use Apple Pay. Support for Google Pay coming soon.

  • Currently, Tugo displays QPark facilities within our interactive map. We’re working on integrating more parking partners and real-time data to allow you to see availability within these carparks and ultimately reserve and pay for parking.

  • Not yet, but we’re working on it!

  • To plan a trip and use Tugo’s navigation functionality you do not need to create an account. You will need to create an account to use and pay for charging via Tugo. We highly recommend creating an account when you download Tugo to avoid having to do this when you arrive at a charge point and to benefit from additional functionalities such as bespoke filtering based on your vehicle’s connector type.

  • Yes, Tugo uses industry-standard encryption to protect your data.

  • Go to ‘My Profile’ in the app and submit a ticket under Help and Knowledge - you will need to have created an account and provided your email address so we can respond to your query.

  • Tugo is still being tested, so you may encounter bugs or incomplete features.

  • We actively encourage feedback – if you have any comments or suggestions, please submit a ticket via the Help and Knowledge section of your profile. We want you to help shape the future of Tugo, from time to time, short surveys will appear in the app and we ask that you complete these and provide as many details about your experience(s) – good or bad!

  • Yes, as long as you don’t delete your account, your details and preferences will be saved and seamlessly transferred to all future versions of Tugo.
